TIPS FOR A STRESS-FREE CLOSING
Here's what buyers and sellers should know.
Communication is key to a successful closing.
Please communicate and be responsive with your Title Agent. We will need certain information from you to create closing documents.
Please bring identification to closing.
Valid identification includes your driver's license, passport or military ID.
Be prepaid to wire funds.
Please do not wait until the last minute, wires are not as “instant” as everyone believes. See below to learn more about wire fraud and ways to prevent it.
Please arrive on time.
The closing will last approximately one hour.
Read your documents prior to closing. Review your closing statement prior to closing, in most cases we can e-mail your closing statement the day before closing.

BEWARE OF WIRE FRAUD
WARNNG! We take relentless precautions to avoid wire fraud. Please be aware and alert!
Wire fraud and email hacking/phishing attacks are rampant in this industry.
When you receive an email containing Wire Transfer Instructions,
ALWAYS call your Title Agent/Closer to verify using previously-known contact
information and NOT information provided in the email. Once you have
verified instructions, NEVER EVER accept new instructions without
verifying directly with your Title Agent.

Please do not try to do a wire via online banking.
It is not really a wire, but an ACH transfer, which will not work.
The wiring instructions provided by your Title Agent will need to
taken to the bank to initiate the wire. Banks will not initiate a wire
over the phone- it MUST be done in person.
